Meet Bella James (Kinda)

So, who is Bella James?

Well… that depends on who’s asking.

You could say I’m the girl behind the screen, curating your next favorite lipstick, your new go-to outfit, or that Amazon find you’ll pretend you “just stumbled upon.”But if we’re being slightly more real? I’m a 5'1" blonde with blue eyes, a flair for the dramatic, and an ever-growing collection of lip glosses and Pinterest boards. A little old-school, a little extra, and just the right amount of chaos.

Born in 2004, Raised in a Different Era

I might technically be a 2000s baby, but my heart lives in vintage TV reruns and classic movie soundtracks. I grew up on Leave it to Beaver, The Andy Griffith Show, and of course, Beverly Hills 90210. My weekends weren’t spent watching Disney Channel — I was busy falling in love with Dirty Dancing, A Bronx Tale, and Scent of a Woman.

I didn’t just watch those stories. I felt them. That blend of glam, grit, and timelessness? Yeah. It stuck with me.

Toronto Girl With Italian Roots

Home is somewhere in Toronto (but we’ll keep it vague for ✨mystery✨). I’m Italian by blood — my grandparents immigrated here, so I’m second-gen Canadian with a side of espresso and good shoes. There’s always been a strong sense of style in my family… the kind you don’t even realize you’re absorbing until you catch yourself saying, “This outfit needs a coat.”

Beauty, Ballet Slippers, & Designer Dreams

I grew up dancing competitively — which is really just a fancy way of saying I spent most of my childhood in a leotard, eyeliner, and a bun so tight it gave me personality. That’s where I first met makeup. And not just any makeup… stage makeup. Big lashes. Blush for days. A tiny taste of transformation. I was hooked.

Fashion came shortly after. I’d flip through designer magazines for hours, making little mental notes and pretending I was planning outfits for the Met Gala. And now here I am… not quite at the Gala (yet), but still styling, swatching, and sharing what I love.

Psychology Major, Beauty Blogger at Heart

By day, I’m a psych student in university — fascinated by the brain, the behavior, the why behind what we do. I actually enjoy my studies (shocking, I know). But at night? I’m in full Bella James mode: blog drafts open, iced latte nearby, and at least ten browser tabs of outfit inspo, skincare finds, and color palettes.

Because this — The Whispered Edit — is where I feel most like me.

(Or at least, the curated version of me.)
